FACE extends prayers to those affected by the California Wildfires, including the Palisades, Easton, and Hurst fires. In addition, we pray for the safety of our first responders and thank them for their bravery and sacrifice.

 

As we navigate through this difficult period, we want to ensure that our community has access to essential resources and support. Please find below a list of resources, emergency services, and evacuation centers.

New: la disaster
recovery center

The Disaster Recovery Center is a one-stop, in-person information and resource center. The center was opened with the help of Mayor Bass and has the goal of helping Angelenos rebuild their homes, businesses, and communities.

Services include: Help for those who have lost vital documents such as birth certificates or social security documents, help to apply for disaster relief loans, referrals for mental health counseling and other services.

It is open 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm. The address is 10850 Pico Blvd. Learn more below.

NEW: Tax relief for LA

Individuals and businesses located in Los Angeles County have been granted extensions for tax filings and payment deadlines. To qualify for the tax relief, taxpayers must reside in or have a business in Los Angeles County.

Our partners at AAPI Equity Alliance have put together a guide of resources for those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

It is also translated into the following languages, with more to come: Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Hindi.

This website shows the closure of roads that are maintained by Los Angeles County Public Works in unincorporated County areas.

Shelters and Supplies

Airbnb.org is providing free, temporary housing for people who have been displaced by the Los Angeles wildfires.

The Dream Center is serving as an evacuation center for those affected by the fires in the Palisades and Eaton Canyon.

LA County has shared shelters and animal shelters for those impacted by the Palisades and Eaton fires.

Redcross LA has opened an emergency shelter for residents impacted by the Palisades fire.

The YMCA is offering childcare, showers, internet, and supplies such as food and water.

Tapestry LA is a safe place for anyone seeking shelter from the LA County fires. Please contact hello@taprestry.la.

Hilton, American Express, and 211 LA are providing vouchers to people impacted by the fires to stay at Hilton properties for free.

Uber & Lyft

If you are evacuating the Eaton Fire, use code WIDLFIRE25 for Uber or CAFIRERELIEF25 for Lyft to get a ride to a shelter.

LA Care is helping individuals fill prescriptions if their medications were lost in a fire or left during evacuation.

Planet Fitness

Planet Fitness is offering free water, showers, wifi, and more regardless of membership status in all LA locations not afflicted by fire.

The Small Business Association has a disaster loan with interest between 2-8%. Learn more at the link.

They are offering mental health services, warm meals, shelter and space for those impacted. 

2-1-1 for homeless

Homeless individuals who need shelter can call 211 for a hotel voucher.

Pet Evacuation Hotline

This hotline is for retrieving pets inside evacuation areas.

The Hotline enables disaster victims to receive, over the telephone, mental health screening, assessment, referral, and crisis counseling.

They have launched the Wildfire Mental Health Support Program, which will provide free therapy and resources

They are offering tips on how people can cope with loss, talk to their children about wildfires, and more.
