ROLE SUMMARY
The Program & Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing administrative, marketing, and event support to FACE’s programs and outreach initiatives. This role will assist in program coordination, marketing campaigns, content creation, and event planning, ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders and the broader community. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, marketing experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. This job requires working on Saturdays/weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Support & Coordination

Assist in planning, implementing, and tracking programs and initiatives in alignment with FACE’s mission.

Provide administrative support for program activities, including scheduling, document preparation, and coordination.

Communicate with partners, volunteers, and participants to ensure successful program execution.

Assist in data collection, reporting, and evaluation of program impact.
Marketing & Communications

Develop and schedule social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).

Assist in designing flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.

Update and maintain the organization's website and email marketing campaigns.

Track and analyze social media engagement metrics to improve outreach.

Ensure brand consistency in all digital and print materials.
Event Planning & Outreach

Support the planning and execution of community events, workshops, and fundraising initiatives.

Assist in securing sponsorships, partnerships, and vendor relationships for events.

Coordinate logistics, materials, and communications for in-person and virtual events.

Represent FACE at community meetings, outreach events, and networking engagements.
Administrative & General Support

Maintain and organize digital and physical records related to programs and marketing initiatives.

Respond to inquiries from community members, partners, and media contacts.

Assist with grant reporting and data tracking for funding requirements.

Provide general administrative support to the FACE team as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in program coordination, marketing, or nonprofit administration.
Required Skills:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing tools.
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 (i.e. SharePoint, Teams, Tasks by Planner, Excel) and able to learn software and tools quickly.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

FACE is looking for a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor/Coordinator to join its Housing Team. The Housing Counselor is responsible for providing a full range of client services for financial education, first-time home buying, and foreclosure prevention programs, including group education workshops, seminars, and individualized guidance. They will gather documentation needed to evaluate creditworthiness and eligibility of mortgage applicants for various homeownership programs, including mortgage loan products and down payment assistance. They will also be involved in delinquency counseling, assessing documentation to determine home retention workout options, which includes loan modifications and the California Mortgage Relief program. In addition, they will maintain positive and effective relationships with clients and program stakeholder. They will also help promote and outreach to potential partners who can be a referral source for clients as well as help submit grant reports. This job requires working on Saturdays/weekends.
DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED

Coordinate/conduct case management, training and outreach for housing counseling and homebuyer education.

Conduct group education on a variety of topics relative to financial literacy, home buying and foreclosure prevention.
-
Conduct one-on-one sessions with prospective borrowers in order to: analyze financial and credit information, determine customer financing objectives, eligibility of down payment products and gather any additional required information to determine mortgage readiness.

Conducts one-on-one sessions with delinquent homeowners to assist clients in evaluating opportunities available through various foreclosure prevention programs.
-
Identify, develop, outreach and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new clients.

Maintain current knowledge of industry program requirements pertaining to financial literacy, homeownership, and foreclosure prevention.

Entering a client's personal details into our Client Management System (Mpact Pro)

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

FLEXIBILITY OF HOURS
This position requires Saturday hours minimum once or twice a month. The individual is expected to fulfill his/her job responsibilities beyond scheduled work hours. This may include community meetings and events in the evenings or weekends. The individual is also expected to participate in FACE's events which may occur outside of the regular business hours. This includes travel related to FACE events and job training.
