Lyda Eddington

Pastor Lyda Eddington—also known as “the pastor who drums and offers sound baths at a church”—is a Los Angeles native whose life reads like a wonderfully unexpected script. She trained as a musical theatre performer at the Music Center, spent years as an actor and musician, and then followed the rhythm (literally) into drum circle facilitation, harp therapy, and sound healing.

Somewhere along the way, God tapped her on the shoulder and whispered, “Actually…ministry.” She now serves as Lead Pastor at Westchester United Methodist Church, Los Angeles, blending creativity, spirituality, and wellness in surprising ways. Lyda is a trained drum circle facilitator specializing in wellness protocols and an advanced practitioner of Healing Sound and Vibrational Therapies.

Her ministry’s, “feeding body, mind and spirit” includes monthly wellness drum circles, dinner churches, and sound baths—because healing, she insists, should be accessible, embodied, and occasionally accompanied by a really good beat.
