Augie Bau

Retirement Benefits Consultant

Rev. Augie Bau has served on the staff of MMBB since 1990. MMBB provides 403(b) retirement benefits for the staff of churches and nonprofit Christian organizations. Prior to his 35 year career with MMBB, Augie worked for 2 corporations, taught in an elementary school, directed an inner city youth center, served as the pastor of a new Asian American church, and interned as a street chaplain in the Haight-Ashbury.

Augie is the Basketball Commissioner of “God First Sports”, and he continues to play full court basketball 3 times a week. Recently, he received a Palmer grant to organize exciting ecumenical gatherings for young adults. He loves to play competitive board games on Boardgamearena.com, and he enjoys rooting for the Golden State Warriors.

Augie received a B.S. and M.B.A. from U.C. Berkeley, and he graduated with an M.Div. from the Pacific School of Religion. He is an ordained Baptist minister as well as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Augie has served as the Moderator of two American Baptist churches, the Treasurer of a Baptist region, and a Board member of Atherton Baptist Homes.
