Ruano

Maury E. Ruano, initiated his career in affordable housing development at Mercy Housing California in 2000 as a Project Developer after earning his Master in Real Estate Development (“MRED”) from USC. He has also worked at East Los Angeles Community Corporation, Many Mansions, and Peoples’ Self-Help Housing Corporation. Mr. Ruano possesses 21 years of affordable housing and community development experience. Mr. Ruano has successfully secured financing and managed the entitlement, community outreach, design, and construction processes for numerous affordable housing developments in San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties. Mr. Ruano is currently overseeing development a two-story 54-unit affordable housing development serving adults with developmental disabilities who are capable of independent living in Poway and other developments for Special Needs population in Orange and Los Angeles counties. Mr. Ruano is also the developer of an 8.7-acre site redevelopment into a 225-unit mixed-income/use development with 50 affordable housing units for low- and moderate-income seniors.
