Rev. Karin Ellis

Karin was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2001. She currently serves as the pastor of La Canada United Methodist Church. Karin is an active member of the Abolitionist Task Force of the California-Pacific Annual Conference. This group seeks to educate churches on the realities of human slavery and how we can help to eliminate it. She also participates in her community through the Sheriff’s Clergy Council, The YMCA Chaplain services, the Music Parent Association of her children’s school, and the La Canada Clergy Council. Her pastoral appointments have included churches in Northridge, Toluca Lake, Pacific Palisades, and Tustin. Karin earned a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Boston University School of Theology. Karin is married to Steven, and they have a daughter and a son, both teenagers.
