Mortgage loans are available throughout California for first-time home buyers. These loans are part of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977 and is designed to help low-to-moderate income home buyers purchase an affordable home. These special loan products provide lower down payment requirements, lower to no mortgage insurance, and income limits. However, income limits can be bypassed if you purchase a home within a low-to-moderate income area. (Low-to-moderate income areas are shown in red.)
