Senior Area Manager for the Los Angeles District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration
Joseph “Joe” Lee Suh is Senior Area Manager for the Los Angeles District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), where he oversees SBA programs and partnerships to empower small businesses to confidently start, grow, expand, or recover throughout Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
Joe recently served in the Executive Office of the President (EOP) as Federal Ambassador with the White House National Economic Council and Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, Project Leader with the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), and Policy Analyst with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Joe entered the Federal Government as Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. Department of Education.
Prior to his Federal service, Joe was Fellow at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF USA) and the College Board, Corps Member and Corps Member Advisor with Teach For America, and held various roles with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, GMMB, Law School Admission Council, and Nike. A native Angeleno, Joe earned his graduate degree from the University of Michigan and his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California as Warren Christopher Scholar, Horatio Alger Association Scholar, and National Coca-Cola Scholar.
Since 2016, Joe served as Chairman of the Program, Projects, and Planning Committee on the Riders’ Advisory Council of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Joe enjoys massive open online courses (MOOCs) and is training for his fifth marathon and first Ironman.
